They can do that by subscribing on Spotify, YouTube, Apple, or any player of their choice.
And if you would love to connect, you can do that by calling, sending me a text message or WhatsApp me on 08064662140. Today on the podcast I want us to look at, I want to look at this question, does the Holy Spirit know anything about money? I know some of you are cocking your heads and wondering like, where did that come from? Let me repeat question for today is does the Holy Spirit know anything about money? Yes. Some of you are curious why am I
tackling this kind of question today? And this is the reason why there's been some stuff going on on LinkedIn, a post that is trending, I believe semi trending and it has inspired, you know people to come out and do their own version. And basically there's this guy in the Niger tech space who said that the Holy Spirit led him into a deal that got him a few 100 mil. I can't remember how much. Well, you know, correct. Monies are like I got 200 M, 300
M, something like that, like good money, the kind of money I want. And anyway, here credits us all to the Holy Spirit. And so, you know, lots of people coming up with their own posts, you know, now God, you know, the Holy Spirit help me do this, the Holy Spirit help me do that, blah, blah, blah. And that's the reason why I'm tackling this question today because those people who are coming forward to testify, they mean well.
And the the more testimonies that we have, the better because God is the source and the font of every single blessing that we have. But I'm making today's podcast recording. Don't worry, this one is going to be very short for those of you who don't like theology or anything Spirit Coco, this one, I'll just be be brief. At least I'll try and make you brief. But even though well meaning, I honestly think some of these kind of posts or some of these kinds of world views will have people thinking about the wrong things or have people chasing the wrong things or setting up improper relationships with God,
with the Holy Spirit. So that's the reason why I'm making today's podcast episode. So does the Holy Spirit know anything about money and business? The simple answer is yes, as part of the Triune, as part of the Trinity, as part of the source and the font of all knowledge. Yes, the Holy Spirit knows stuff about money. But is this the primary reason why we turn to the Holy Spirit? In fact, traditionally speaking, what is the role of the Holy Spirit?
Don't worry, those of you who are beginning to get a headache now, don't worry, I'll wrap up very soon. Don't worry, don't be afraid. I'm not trying to convert you. I'm not talking to my other brothers and sisters within the fold, within the faith, who might be getting one or two things mixed up. So traditionally speaking, the role of the Holy Spirit is to mediate grace. To mediate means you want to pass something through from one place to another.
So those of us who have a legal background, we used to mediate disputes. Person A is scrolling with person B. We're trying to get to a solution. I am the one in the middle, the lawyer. I'm the one that will now mediate the whole thing. So that will arrive at peace. So traditionally, the role of the Holy Spirit has been to mediate grace. Now some people are now the next question is now what is grace? Unfortunately, because of, you know, Pentecostalism is now big and stuff like that, people have lost their roots in the ancient faith and people now think grace equals favor, grace equals hammer, grace equals divine health, grace equals money,
grace equals everything working for my own good. Now all those things are nice, but traditionally speaking, that is not what grace means. A lot of you are Christians in the variety of ismia and my Bible. Let me read it on my own and then you are coming up with all these funny ideas. But this is not what the ancient Christian communities have meant when they say grace, what grace used to mean before. Now people saying grace means everything, working together for my good.
What grace used to mean is that supernatural gift, supernatural meaning it's God that is in charge. It is above nature. It's not something that is a part of our nature. And in that sense, those of you who are saying grace means everything working together for my good, in that sense you will have got that element right because it is not something I do of my own accord. It is something that God is giving me. But traditionally, grace meant the supernatural gift that allows man to acquire theological virtues.
Now, what are theological virtues? Virtue just means you're trying to align yourself towards what is good. Of course, when you hear theological, it means deriving from God. So theological virtues were those virtues that help man to properly see God, that helps man to properly approach God. Those are the theological virtues. And then grace is that gift that helps you to now see, to now approach, to now come near to God.
And those theological virtues traditionally were called faith, hope and charity. I repeat, faith, hope and charity. Faith, the supernatural gift of God that allows you to believe without doubting everything that God has revealed. I repeat, faith, that supernatural gift that allows you, that helps you to believe everything that God has revealed without doubting. It's necessary in our work with God. We have to believe what God says, but we can't believe it on our own.
We need the grace to do that and the grace helps with faith. The next is hope. Hope is again that supernatural gift from God that allows us to trust that God will do what he says He will do. So He's not just believing without doubting. We also have to trust. It's more of a fidelity thing. We're trusting and we're working. Then the final one now is charity. Also supernatural gift that allows us to love God first allows us to love me, myself.
We have to love ourselves, then allows us to love our neighbor as ourselves. I repeat charity. First I will love God, then I will love myself, then I will love my neighbor as myself. So traditionally when Christians say Holy Spirit, they meet that person of the Trinity who is providing grace. Grace to do what? To know God, to trust in what he has revealed, to love Him, to love yourself, and to love your neighbor as yourself.
So traditionally when Christians run around shouting Holy Spirit and shouting grace, these are the sorts of things that we are talking about. We're not talking about 300 million naira deals. If you go to Christians of the Orient, the older communities, the Christian communities that have still remained from Apostolic times till now, the communities in Turkey, the other communities in Asia Minor, communities in Jerusalem,
communities in Egypt, some communities in Ethiopia, those ones that have been around since Apostolic times, they talk about theosis or divination. Now, this might sound scary, but anyway, let me just say it, even though it sounds scary to you, Christians of the Orient, the Eastern Orthodox, the Orthodox, the Oriental Christians, they talk about theosis and divination. That means becoming like God. Since it's a scary concept, I'm not going to talk about that much because, you know, nowadays we have too many New Age people.
So when you hear something like, you know, divination, you say, and what are you saying? But then we'll talk about later one-on-one, if any of you happen to know me one-on-one, you know, let's chat. What is beyond the scope of this podcast? So in some of the older apostolate communities, these are the sorts of things that they're talking about when we're talking about the Holy Spirit and grace, theosis, divination, that gift that will allow us to draw closer and to become closer to God.
And then if you look at one very basic something, you just go ahead and you say, OK, it's me on my Bible. You want to be reading the Bible. If you start from Matthew and start reading through to Revelation, you'll find one thing really, really important or really interesting. Christ comes and Christ does not say. The promise is you will get 300 million naira. He never said that. The promise seems to be if you start reading from Matthew, not picking the parts of the Bible that you like, you're going to pick Isaiah.
And you say, you know, he bore our stripes. And because of that, I will never fall sick. Go and read for yourself. Start from Matthew. When Jesus Christ starts talking, what does he say? He says repent for the Kingdom of God is here. The same thing John says the John John that's John the Baptist also says repent for the Kingdom of God is here. So by the time John the Baptist hits the scene and Jesus Christ hits the scene, the call is reconciliation and repentance.
And so traditionally when people talk about the Holy Spirit and grace, these are the sorts of things that people are talking about. OK, I've done 10 minutes. Let me bring it to a close because it's a business podcast. Let me not chase people away. But bottom line is if you feel like the Holy Spirit LED you to 300 M, all well and good. But traditionally when we talk about the holy period, this is not what we mean. Traditionally, we'll talk about the holy period.
We mean that part of the Trinity that is helping us grow in grace, that will help us with faith, that will help us with hope, that will help us with love of God, love of self, love of neighbor, who will help us to grow closer to God as we should as his children. Help us to reconcile, help us to repent. Now, should we be calling on God every day for business growth? The answer is yes, because it's there in our Father. Give us this day, Our Daily Bread.
So yes, wake up every day and you say God bless my Hazu, I'm going to go and do marketing. God bless my house, I'm doing sales. God bless my house, I'm baking cake. God bless the work of my hands. I'm going for negotiation. God, you know, cover me, open my eye, you know, help me as I'm going into this situation. Yes, by all means we should pray for these things because God is the source of our sustenance. Anything that we have, we have from him, Our life, our success,
everything we have, we have from him. So by all means, wake up. I said her prayer that God bless the work of my hand and then go boldly and give you a best shot. But please stop invoking the Holy Spirit for prophets. That's not what this whole setup is about. Is not chase after money because money is good. Money is good in itself and for Christians we can exercise the use of of money towards magnanimity and lots of good in the world, which is why Jesus Christ says take this filthy money and use it to do good.
So please we should chase money because money is good but it's not by divine right and the Holy Spirit is not a prophet making machine. And in fact, in the ancient, more apostatic rights of Christianity, we talk about the sin of simony Simon, the magician in the work of arts who saw what was going on. And he said, Peter, how far now, Paulo, I better come here. This Holy Spirit that you guys are talking about, How far now?
Let me raise you guys some money. And you know you solved me now, so I can have some of this Holy Spirit too. So this thing is not new. From then until now, there are people who have wanted to say, Holy Spirit, how far now, Hookah, brother, help me collect some 500 M. The temptation has always been there, but let's be careful, Please. Let's be very, very careful. So if the Holy Spirit has LED you to 500 and 301 billion, you know, we thank God.
But just be careful with the posts that you're putting up. Let's not lead people into thinking that the main reason why we hook up with God or the reason why I become Christian or the reason why I become why we have a devotion to the Holy Spirit is because we're trying to get 500 and we're trying to get 1 billion. We're trying to get now that's, that's not the point. But yes, we should chase money because money is good.
And that is the whole point of this podcast. We are trying to make this money and we will get this money. We will hammer. We all flex together. Well, let's not get it twisted. We are sometimes putting out wrong vibes and getting people to misunderstand what Christianity is. And you know what we're all doing here Sometimes, some of us, we mean well by coming out to declare the testimony that before my bank account was 0,
Now my bank account IS300 M and it's because of the Holy Spirit. Let's just make sure that we do not lead people astray. Anyway, I promise you guys a short episode and let me just stop here. But just know that if you ever wake up and find yourself in a situation where you are trying to bend certain outcomes to your will using God or the Holy Spirit, you're going down a slippery slope. Yeah, actually are. You need to behave like these New Age people because that's what New Age people do, and they have infiltrated the business education space.
You wake up in the morning, you align your chakra, you call on the divine energies, and then you manifest so that everything will fall according to your will. If you wake up and you're finding yourself kind of in that camp, you, you're in a dangerous place. You're entering into that new age, you know, excuse my French New Age bullshit. So be careful. Anyway, let me leave it like that. It was supposed to be a short episode.
But don't worry, if this is the first time you're listening to this podcast, look, don't be afraid. Don't run away. This is not a theological podcast. This is not a podcast for Christian apologetics. I am Catholic, I take my faith seriously, I take philosophy seriously, I take theology seriously. So once in a while I might talk about these sorts of things, but to be honest, there are over 1200 episodes, Abby 1100 and something episodes that have been done so far.
This is the only podcast episode wherever I addressed something like this. Everything else is all about how to make this filthy as in stupid bastard money because that's my goal and I'm assuming that's your goal as well. So just like that guy made 300 M, me too hard to testify that you know what bank account was at 0 today my bank account is at 300 M and next year we are projected that bank account should be at 1.2 billion.
So me to only give that testimony, that's the focus of this podcast. That's what we do here and that's the reason why I focus on sales and marketing challenges because that's how we're going to make progress in our business. We will pray and we'll trust, but we will learn the systems. We will learn how to sell. We will learn how to figure out who's the ideal customer. We will learn how to target them, whether it's advertising or whether it's walking up on somebody and trying to have a conversation.
We will learn how to have that conversation. We will learn how to figure out what does this person need? What is the real, real, real problem that they're trying to solve. We will learn how to figure out, do I have the skill set to satisfy this person? Do I have the inventory to satisfy this person? Can I put together the team that will run this thing profitably? We will learn how to do good customer service and good follow up.
Is this person happy? Did they achieve what they wanted? Because we're trying to make sure that this person is going to come back and do business with us again and again and again. And after a while, the person should even start referring people to us. We will learn how to maximize customer, customer lifetime value. That's the whole point of this podcast. We will make that money. We will do that through learning about sales and marketing, and we will chase this money with all the skill that we have, with all the talent that we have, and we'll give it an incredible amount of focus.
We will chase this money because money is good. The same way we chase food, money is good, we'll chase it, but don't get it twisted. The whole point of aligning with God, aligning is the Holy Spirit is not to make that 300 M. In fact, whether you get it or you don't get it, quite frankly, it's not within your control because they say man disposes, you know, God disposes. Abby, how does it? You know, the best we can do is we know that this is good.
We've set our sights on it. We will chase it and then we'll trust in God that the outcome will be good. So anyway, don't run away, just hang in here. This is the focus of the partners want to make good money, we will make it through sales and marketing. All right, let me just leave it there before I say something. Now chase somebody away because I only have about 2000 900 ish subscribers on Spotify and I'm actually trying to get more subscribers trying to grow the community more So I beg you guys don't run away.
This is this is a money something money through answer all right so that's it. Remember, if you would love to connect, you can call, send a text message, or send a WhatsApp message on 08064662140. Thank you very much for your time and attention. I'll catch you next time. Same place in your headphones or in your speakers. And please share the podcast if you're getting value from it.
