Today on the podcast, we're going to look at how salespeople can protect themselves. Again, the question that we're going to be looking at today is how salespeople can protect themselves. And the reason why we're looking at this today, unfortunately, is because there are some of us who try to grow our businesses and we have the liberty of doing that from the comfort of our homes or the comfort of our offices. You know, you stay there on the AC running your Google campaigns, running your Facebook campaigns and everything is going OK, everything is going on fine.
However, there are other individuals like me for instance, who have to go outside to look for Our Daily Bread. So I take meetings, I go to people's offices, I go, OK, well, it's been a while since I went to someone's home because since I stopped being a wedding photographer, I haven't had any reason really to go and see someone in the house. But there are people like us who everyday, that's how we get Our Daily Bread.
We go out into the world, we meet strangers, we go from location to location, we go from office to office. Sometimes we meet someone in the home and sometimes we travel to other places for work. So it's unfortunate, but human nature being what it is, I mean, most people that you're you're going to meet will be reasonable, trustworthy fellows. But of course, there are always criminals. Yeah, there who try to take advantage of us or people who think they have found and easy targets and who want to pursue some on wholesome agendas.
Let me just put it that way. So the reason why we're looking at this today is because it was a question from Fatima in Wusetu in Abuja. And that was the question that she said. Now she didn't give any particulars, but it was a question that really, really, really was at the like the thing really hit me. It really hit me, it did because like I remember when I used to sell insurance briefly for an insurance company here in Abuja,
these are some of the things that we used to talk about during sales meetings. You know, it's unfortunate, you know, but our sisters would saying I went here during the meeting, you know, August said this, the man said that I was feeling uncomfortable. Like what was going on? Was I imagining things? Was I correct? I would have to discuss these things that when you're in a situation and people begin to talk like this and talk like this, this is what you do.
This is how you remove yourself from the situation. This is how you protect yourself, you know, things like that. So when I saw the question from Fatima, I was like, man, this is something serious and so I ought to address it. It's not something that we talk about a lot, but it's just a sad reality that is there, unfortunately. But anyway, God protect us. But starting off, I would like us to bear this in mind that it is only money that we are chasing.
Let me repeat, the reason why I'm saying this is I want to put the stakes in the proper perspective. Excuse me because sometimes, you know, we have our tuition goes off or we have some concerns, but then we still keep pressing forward because we're pressing forward towards the price. I just want to put it in perspective that at the end of the day, it is just money that we are chasing and money is not a substitute for life or Peace of Mind.
So I'm one of those people who will say it is not worth it. Let me repeat, please. At the end of the day, it is only money. It is just money that we are chasing. It is not worth it. Excuse me. So for those of us who are married, if we come back with millions, our spouses and our kids will be happy. But they will. They will prefer that we come back with 0 naira and cobra in our pocket. But at least we're happy and we're insane Peace of Mind.
Trust me, if you're a married man, trust me, your wife would prefer that you went out and you came back with 0 or that you came back with minus that you came back at a loss, but at least you came back safe. You came back happy, you came back in Peace of Mind. Your wife will prefer that. Then you go out and you come back with millions, but then you come back and then you're damaged goods. You're giving her extra wahala.
So please excuse me as we start deliberating on this matter. Let us keep the proper perspective that look, it is only money, it is just money only, it's only money. And unfortunately, we only have one life. So it's not as if we also hustle, hustle. We get the money, something happens. It's not as if we will enjoy it or we'll take it with us. They think we'll even be left behind. So let's always know what we are gambling or what we are risking as we're going out to go and look for this money.
It is only money. So we talk about qualification and discovery a lot on the podcast. And qualification and discovery is the part of the business relationship or the part of the conversation where you ask people questions about themselves and questions about the business opportunity. This is also another reason why it is important. Usually I say we should be asking questions about the person and about the opportunity so that, number one, we can make, we can give a realistic quote or a realistic budget.
And also so it gives us the information about whether this is the kind of business opportunity that we can actually fulfill. That if we go ahead and we collect the money, is this something we can do? But another reason why we should engage in qualification and discovery is because it gives us more data that our intuition can start playing off of. And so we know whether there's something correct here or not, or there's something shady here or not.
There's not only potential customers who should be worried about us, we should also be worried about other people that we're talking to on a daily basis. This person I'm talking to, is his head correct? Is her head correct? Is this a reasonable somebody? Does this look like something that should continue to pursue? Abby, should I weave and make AU turn right now? So This is why qualification and discovery is important.
We try and find out the people are interested in our product or services. We try and find out if people have a genuine need. We try and find out if people can afford our services. The reason why we ask is while we're asking all these sorts of things, it would give us some kind signals that will alert us that look, danger here, danger, danger or this is a good business opportunity. Go ahead. When I discussed this thing on the radio show, Joshua called in from I think was from Day day.
Well, that's when I discussed this on the radio show and he gave his own experience about how some people came because he sells, he sells hats. They looked at a couple of hats and they said, oh, they're interested. They don't want to make a big deal. So they said come and meet us in XYZ please. Now at the time he was going there, based on how the environment was looking, he knew that or more. This thing is not pure. So he was able to dodge one or two things and extricate himself, remove himself, and we thank God that he's all right.
So we thank God that he had some situational awareness about what was going on. But if you do qualification and discovery, sometimes you can get a sense of whether some people are serious or not. So somebody comes, they look at hats, and they say that they're interested in hats. Oh, OK, no problem. Which kind, Which models which this, which that, Wow, you're really thinking about buying lots of hearts. You know, what's what's going on?
What's the reason? Are you guys preparing for events? You're looking for distributors. These are legitimate questions to ask because the people are buying. You know, it happens now like we're going for traditional wedding and you know, this your red IBO cup, the cup that IBO people like to wear. It's not as if everybody has it now. So sometimes if it's like, let's say 14 of us are going for this wedding now to go and support our boy.
We know who's getting married. You know, of course we'll gas by this thing in bulk. So for those of you who sell hearts, it's, it's a normal question that you ask. Yeah, you are going for occasion. You ask, oh, wedding, ah, congratulations, blah, blah, blah. Making a small talk. You know, it's not as if the small talk you're making, it is not as if you don't have anything you're doing with your day. You're building rapport and you're trying to get a sense of who it is that you're talking to.
If they say it's wedding that they're going for and then you, for instance, you ask, OK, like where's the person from? One person is talking one way, another person is talking one way. You all start knowing that something here. No, they are lying. Like something is off. If they say they're thinking of getting into the hard business and they want to be distributors and then they're talking to you to be a wholesaler or something like that, it's nothing question.
Oh, OK, Congrats. And what inspired you to get into the game? OK. Oh, you've registered your company and where are you based? Where's your official office? All these questions are also part of qualification and discovery. You're asking questions about the person, you're asking questions about the opportunity, you're asking questions about the problem. Because really, let's say everything checks out and they want to become retailers and they want you to be, sorry, I'm using the wrong terms.
They want to be yeah, retailers. And they're hoping to buy hats from you wholesale. These are still things that you would need to know before you start supplying these people hats. Where they based, Where's the head office? What kind of customers do they have? What kind of hats will they be requiring from you? You know, on and on and on. So qualification and discovery engaging, it will give you lots of let you know that some things are not some things are not adding up.
For my client who is in the solar space, you know, there are times that their sales teams have had to just X somebody because at this very stage, qualification and discovery, somebody's saying something that does not make sense. You call them on Monday, they will say this thing. You call them on Tuesday, they will say this thing. We just say, you know what? Let this one go. Like we don't know what's worrying this person's head, but we do not want that person's headache to become our own concern.
From qualification and discovery, you will know. This one sounds good. Let me continue. This one sounds off. Let me weave. Let me you turn. Let me back to center. Let me block, let me Holy Ghost fire. Whatever it is From qualification and discovery, you will know. So please always engage in qualification and discovery. Let somebody not just call you and say, do you have this red EBO hat to say yes, we need 500 pieces.
Do you have of course I can supply 500 pieces. You say, OK, come and meet us at so so so location. Then you now just stand up and then start moving. Or the only question is, can you pay 20% deposit, they pay 20% deposit and then you stand up and then start moving only. Only for what? To now go and fall into the hands of kidnappers. Qualification and discovery be asking questions. Who is this person? What do they want?
Where are they coming from? Where are they heading to? What are their goals? What are their values? What are their mission? What business problem do they have? What business problem are they trying to solve? Qualification and discovery. Very, very important. Very, very, very, very important now. So one of the things that I discussed about on the air was first of all, doing research. Research people ahead of the meeting do some basic research.
I don't show up. I meet anybody at all unless I've done some simple Google and Truecaller. In fact, those of you been listening to the podcast for a very long time, you already know that that's like my basic text tack, text tack in quote everybody. I run you through it. I Google your name and I put it there. You'll be surprised the things that you see like this one guy, I threw it up, I saw that the guy has a criminal past.
The guy is a convicted felon. I say, hey, that is a serious because you know, in Nigeria we don't even keep good records. So there are lots of people you might be dealing with who all I put it like they have a checkered past. So it's hard for these kind of things to show. So on the very fact that I took it and I threw a name into Google, that's the thing that came up say, hey, OK, now means that this guy is a gangster.
And now know that OK, I should be careful. I should be watching my going, am I coming Google somebody's name and true color if I love Truecaller because Truecaller, there's some phone numbers you put there. Truecaller will say 857 people have reported this number as spam. Those people are just blocked them immediately. There's no need for me to call back to reschedule to nothing because as far as I'm concerned, some people are much smarter than me.
So I don't even bother to engage them. Even if I see two people have reported this number as spam, I will block you immediately. That's it. I'm not carrying up. I'm not carrying on this conversation again, No. So do some small research. Google Truecaller. In fact, there's something that I learned from my wife because not just my wife, who again, yeah, my my former roommate AB they figured out that some scams have some kind of patterns.
So once in a while when they are facial some things they just go on Google and they type in, you know, scam involving blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And you will now see that they, you know, some things like that actually exist. In fact, it's even good now that we have AI tools like Google, Gemini. You can type it there. You can say I'm a business person, blah, blah, blah. Somebody reached out to me saying the same, that I'm not sure if this is a good opportunity to pursue.
Is it possible that this kind of thing can be a scam? And what kind of known scamming patterns are, you know, I don't know how to put it. What kind of known scams in Nigeria have this kind of MO MO modus operandi? Like how will I put it? Sorry, I'm not freestyling, but you understand what I'm trying to say. When you search it, you'll be able to see some things. Like there's one time when guys would call me. In fact, the last person that did this, what this person said,
the person called and yes, I has this Tarishman. I say yes, this Tarishman, I say oh Bros, they will need also there is a serious like that. They will lead us. In fact they even shot my excuse me personally, they even shot my wife that she's bleeding. Now we have to go to the hospital. I beg, I beg, call me back, call me back. The person called the phone now of course you know this Nigeria now. So somebody calls you, the person seems to know you and they say that man was a terrible something.
They will let me, they will let my wife, they shot her, she's bleeding. We need to go to the hospital. Call me back now. Because Nigerians were good people, there are people who come back. Well, luckily for me because of the things Jisma has been giving me, I know that this is a scam that somehow the clone numbers, I don't know how to do it. So I already know that some kind calls. I I will not call them back. The reason why I know is because my wife did the research ahead of time, couple of people tried to get her to call back.
She did a Google search and she found out that is a popular scam in Nigeria that people are trying to get you to call them back, that you either call them back, I'll be they send you a text message and you click on the link or I can't remember Bashar this way that they clone people's numbers. I didn't call that person back. I just blocked immediately. Research people ahead of the meeting. Use Google, use AI tools, research, learn about the kind of scams that are available nowadays things going on in Niger.
Then another thing that I mentioned was meetings only take meetings in public places. I repeat only take meetings in public places, especially my sisters listening to the podcast now young ladies, I beg this is a rookie mistake and I don't know why some of you fall for it only take meetings in public places. Now, when we say public places, this is what I mean. We're talking about access. If people generally have access to the area, good.
Go and take the meeting. If people don't have access to the area, do not take the meeting. If you're meeting in somebody's office and it looks like there's public access to the office, OK. If you're meeting in the third location, the third location is open to all members of the public, OK. Like for me, back in my wedding photography days, I used to use Seddi Plaza a lot because it's kind of central and it's open and the eating area is next to the cinema area.
So like, you know, the bride will feel comfortable, the groom will feel comfortable, everybody will comfortable. It's a public place. Like what can I do in a, in an area like that? Oh, you can't come to my office. You wouldn't be comfortable with me coming to your office. Where you sure? How about Seddi Plaza? We can do that tomorrow at 10:00. That works for you. And of course everybody will say yes, because it is City Plaza,
it is public. There's an eating space, there's a cinema, there's a gaming space, there's a shop at the bottom, there's a pharmacy on that same floor. Like it is public. It is very public. Only take meetings in public spaces. Anybody who wants to harm you in a public space is kind of limited options because there are people who are there only take meetings in public spaces. And when we say public places or spaces, we mean places where people have access to.
If only one person has access to this place or one family has access to this place or only one community has access to this place, please do not go for this meeting. Also, remote locations do not go for meetings in remote locations. Don't, do not. And whenever you have any of these concerns, OK, this is how I put it, at least something I learned when I was selling insurance. Sometimes you can use your orga to lie for some of these things.
Ordinarily I would say don't tell lies, but you can use your orga to lie. There's the times when you say, oh sure, no problem, I can take a meeting. But it is part of our official policy at this company that when we attend these kinds of meetings, we have to go in pairs. So I'm going to be coming along with my junior associate. Would that be OK? So that one is Eli. You just made it up on the spot, but he will help you know exactly what's going on.
Because there's one young lady that I advised like that. And the moment she mentioned it, guess what the guy said. The guy said, are we not mature individuals? Is there any need for all this? That what, you think I'm going to harm you? I come on, it's not a big deal. It's not a big deal at all. Just come over for this meeting, I'll book a secret room for you and tomorrow morning I get you a bolt and you'll be on your way back to Lagos.
And I told that, see, we confirms don't go for this meeting. It's not worth it. Even if the person is legit, it's not worth the risk. How much money are you going to make off of this thing? So there are ways that you can use your orga and tell lies. So even for a remote location, like yeah, so like the light, the orga say who should be going in pairs 2 and 2. By the way, there are some industries in like in America, for instance, where I think in some like tech.
Yeah, in some like tech spaces, that is the tradition anyway. If you're going for the meeting, you are going with your account manager or you're going with the, what's it called, sales engineer or something. So there are some industries like that where the tradition is when you're going out, you're going out in twos anyway. Anyway, let me know. Overflog it. So public places only, if only one family has access to that place, one individual has access to that place, only one community has access to that place.
And please do not go for that meeting. Like things have been quiet in IFA and Moda Ke care for a while because I schooled in IFA. So if you're an IFA person, they call you for a meeting, but they want you to meet in in a village that is inside the Moda Ke care territory. I beg don't take that meeting. It's only money that we're chasing. It's not worth. It's just money. If this person can come and meet you in a much more central part of town, or they can meet you on campus for this meeting, or you guys can meet in the Co working space, I beg, it's just money,
free distance. Just let it go. Just let it go. Walk on by. If it's a legitimate business opportunity that you said goodbye to, don't worry, God will do it for you. Another one will come, another one will come. So I've already spoken about taking meetings with your associates. If you can be going into in two and two have somebody who is riding along with you, that also helps. Then one thing for Joshua, because remember when he was going for this meeting, he said something in his mind was telling him this.
Something in my mind, something in my spirit. We want people calling intuition over here. We say my spirit is not in agreement, whatever The thing is called, my spirit is not in agreement. I'm having intuition. I'm having a bad trust that thing. Trust it. If your intuition is wrong, there was worse that what can happen and you've lost one business deal. But if your intuition is correct, hey, you will regret it. But before I got married, my sponsor, because it was a businessman, it's something he told me one-on-one.
He told me that, look, there are times when I wanted to go for one or two things and my wife said I don't like this guy or I don't like this, whatever. And I still insisted. And he told me all those times I have regretted it. And he told me, he said, look, God has put this young girl into your life. You know, also for your protection. If there's any time that she says I'm not comfortable with this thing, just match break immediately.
Even if she can't tell you exactly what it is, that is the problem. Just match break. At the time I thought, yeah, this brass is beginning to sound too superstitious. But to be honest, it's I don't like something I've been following so far. Whether it has actually saved me or whether it has actually cost me money, I have no idea. Well, basically my wife says this guy doesn't seem this guy's in shifty or this guy sounds dubious.
I, I, I take it along, but trust your intuitions and intuition of those whom you trust. So for those of you who are older and who have adult children like me, because sometimes mom, she calls me to say, I want to do this, I want to do this. What do you think? If your elder children are telling you mommy not be like this or daddy, calm down, listen, listen to their intuition. So trust your intuition. Well, like I said, it doesn't mean you use your intuition to scatter the deal.
Just put your concerns on the table and hear what the person has to say. You know, this is Niger. So OK, we're saying my spirit Bros. You know, I like what you've been saying and it sounds like a good deal or something. My spirit is not correct, Bros. I beg for my sake. Can we meet in City Plaza instead? Call it out. The average Nigerian, you know, if not in the that's what laughing. I said, oh boy, you do it here. Yeah, no problem.
Move it, said the Plaza. You're not happy about the location? You called it out. They've moved it to a much more central place. Good. I'll show up. I'm sorry about that. The noise. I dropped my. I dropped my notes because, you know, now because of the radio show, because what I had been doing before was I just used to run everything from one jotter, but then I was not getting confused. Sometimes I look at my notes, I'll be like, did I talk about this on the podcast?
I'll be, did I talk about this on the radio show when it's when I've separated everything. So use your intuition. Call out things. If they're gracious and they meet your concerns, then reschedule. When they meet your concerns, then don't be desperate. Like I said, it is only money that we are chasing. I've told you about how GD Kosoko on the, what's it called, Honest Bunch, the Honest Bunch podcast. You guys said it loud and clear.
He said it that you should not feel desperate as if anybody is holding your destiny because there are young men and young women in the acting space. You know, you want to break into Nollywood. You meet somebody who is a gatekeeper and then they're telling you that, well, we can give you this role. Just come and sit down on this couch first. You understand what I'm saying? What about people call it casting couch? That's what they call it.
They say you should come and sit down here. You know, Square said it. Now look, don't be afraid. Don't sit down anywhere. Don't be thinking this guy is a big person. This guy is the mover and the shaker. This is the price that we have to stay in the industry. Something something something like don't don't don't OK? Don't be desperate it's just money. Don't assume that this is the person that will open the door to millions for you.
Trust God that if this one doesn't click that he will open another way for you. If I've fallen off that was saying this thing. I watched 1 documentary yesterday and this thing oh this thing pain me pain me. I couldn't sleep I was having nightmares. Is this a Puff Daddy PDD? So $0.50 has released a documentary on him and it's on Netflix. I think it's called Ziti Unveiling or something like that, the Sean Com story or something.
So my wife started watching it and I said OK no problem because my wife is not around now, she's in Lagos on business. So I said OK no problem, you're watching it. Me too, let me watch now. And I started watching Cry. The story is nothing. The people that PDD chopped just because they were thinking ah, as in like his DD now like his Puff Daddy, like all I have to do just play along. If I play along, everything was just set.
When everything is set like I made for life because now PDD, like his puffy now that's how the guy was doing and undoing. I said I could not sleep, I was having nightmares. I say, hey, this is how human beings are. This is how there's wickedness in the world. So Judy Kosoko has said it. Don't say that. Ah, I'm standing in the presence of greatness. So let me go along with what they're saying. Kindly remove yourself and trust God that He will make a way,
that another door will open. Trust Him. So let's not be desperate. Then back in my insurance days, our line manager, she spoke about pepper spray. She even gave it to one or two of the girls that were there. She said hold this thing that is pepper spray that don't worry, don't feel as if you make anybody blind. You won't make anybody blind. It is a mixture of this peroxide and that, that, that, that you just spray it in the person's face.
It's like tear gas. And once you do it, they'll be confused. Their eyes will be burning, their nose will be burning, their mouth will be burning. Book will be coming from everywhere. They'll be screaming and in pain. It will give you a good head start. You'll be able to run. It's unfortunate, but yeah, pepper spray. My sister-in-law, she's baking. She, she's a Baker, so of course she delivers cakes, wedding cakes, birthday cakes, You know,
surprisingly she has had to use pepper spray to defend herself. Surprisingly so pepper spray. I'm not advocating that you kill somebody, but what I'm trying to say is you have a right to defend yourself. self-defense. Now there's one guy who is in Yeah, I think it was even an Honest Bunch podcast. What he does is I think he does Uber. I think that's what he does, bolts and Uber. So I was talking about how he keeps his spanner by his left leg.
And then they were saying that why? And he started giving them gist on the podcast about how in Lagos people are moving mad and all the kinds of things that he has seen. So that's the reason why he keeps spanner by his left leg, so that anything he would just grab it and then bar club the person on the head match brick and then bail from the car. So I'm not saying you should go and scatter somebody's head. I'm just trying to say we have a right to defend ourselves.
So in the last insurance place that I worked for, my line manager, she gave some of the girls pepper spray. There's some people where they do Uber, they keep the spanner close by just in case. Basha, I don't even know if it's called spanner. Nothing that used to change the tire, which I will have a right to defend ourselves. But don't kill anybody. I'm not saying you should take up weapons. Don't kill anybody. Then pre map your destination and then share your location.
I also learned this one from my wife. I didn't know you could do that. Like let's say you're booking a boat. You can now share the link with somebody else. So do it so that people know where you are at all times. Then there was one of my colleagues in the insurance days. So whenever she entered and she feel as if this thing is not is not pure. What she used to do is she would sit down and say, oh chief, thank you very much for taking the meeting.
That's sorry. It was part of our official policy that whenever we take meetings with H and I and we're not accompanied by any of our by any, by any colleague on the meeting, it's part of the office policy that we have to drop a location pin before we start the meeting. So Chief, are you OK with that? Let me just share this location pin before we can start discussing the matters that we came here for. So that was our scope that she talked like that.
Based on how the person responds, we now know whether it's time to sit down and continue this meeting or it's time to say, oh, sorry, one moment, let me use the loo. And then from there she will now bill and she won't come back again. Masha pre map your destination, letting people know where you are sharing your location. So Bolt allows you to do that. I'm not sure about Uber. I'll be surprised if all the other apps allow you to do that.
But you can, you can do that. And remember, like my friend selling insurance, you know, you can use your line manager and like you can like say it's part of the office policy. Then one thing I forgot to mention on the radio show, please no standing in, no standing idly in public places. Because those of us who go out for Our Daily Bread, you know, sometimes you go out at orders of the day. It's not as if that's the plan.
But if somebody says come and meet me at Hilton in the lobby 8:00, yeah, you show up at 8:00. Sometimes the meeting will continue on to maybe like 10/10/30. So it's not as if you decided you stay out till late, but don't stay in public spaces, don't stand idly. Like for those of you who don't have cars, there's some people that I see who are waiting at the junction, the junction between Hilton Bank, sorry, Hilton Hotel and Zenith Bank in Abuja.
I see some people waiting, they pick their Uber from there. And I'm wondering myself, wondering to myself because, yeah, sometimes, you know, I'm out late on business purpose. You know, I'm a responsible guy. You can see me out at night. It's money I'm after. There's not any other kind of thing. And I see some people 10/30/11, that's where they're standing to take their Uber. Why? If somebody should rush you in that kind of open space, where will you go?
Where can you hide? How you defend yourself, how that kind of thing? You finish your meeting, I Hilton, what you just do is walk out to the security gate and then call your Bolt. From there, you'll be jisting with the security guards. That's where Hilton's security guards. While you're waiting for your Bolts, the boat will just drive in, make you turn, pick you up, and then you're on your way. Please, in our hustle, let's not be standing idly in public spaces, especially at night.
I know wedding photographers that have fallen to this kind of thing. You're just chilling at the bus stop, nesting Bra, bra, bra. Two or three guys. Before you know it, you don't know where to pay attention. That's it. Your laptop is gone. Or you're able to secure your laptop, but then the other guy grabbed your camera. The guy move. No standing idly in public places, please. Then finally dressing please. When we're going out there, we should dress fine, but also we have to dress for free movement so that if anything we should be able to just up and move one time.
So that's the reason why, if you've noticed my sisters that sell insurance, if you notice that's the reason why they wear trouser. It's not because they don't like skirt, but in case of anything, you know, trouser and they wear flat soles. You know, everybody knows that high heels makes you look nice and glamorous, but you need to be able to move. You need to be agile when the need occurs 1-2 you've taken off. So we should also bear that in mind when we're going for when we're going for meetings dressed in a way that allows you to be agile, to move quickly, whether you're a man or you're a woman.
So I'm not trying to dampen people's moods today. And it's a pity that we have to be talking about these sorts of things. It's a real pity. It's unfortunate. And I'm sure for those of you who've been listening to the podcast from the beginning, this is the only episode in the over 1300 episodes that I've done. We have, I have spoken about these sorts of things. It rarely crosses my mind. It's just that when I was in the radio booth, the radio station Fatima sent that message.
I said, Kai, you know what? We actually do need to talk about these things. I'll talk about these things some more because it's unfortunate. It's just the world that we live in. Like, for my sister-in-law, I mean, she does cakes now. How can you get in trouble delivering cakes? I never would have thought, you know, but she had to purpose praise somebody. So in chasing money, let's do our best to protect ourselves. Remember, trust your intuition.
Even if your intuition is wrong, the only thing you've lost is money. If your if your intuition is correct, what you have gained is your life or you've gained Peace of Mind. And please, let's not be desperate if you don't, if you don't how I put it, like if you don't understand what I'm saying, if you're not feeling me, go on Netflix. The thing is still on Netflix. Watch that documentary about Puff Daddy and the number of people who thought, hey, it's puffy now.
Like it's not a big deal. Like it's Puffy like he is the guy. He has the access. If I just do this small thing just one time, I will have access. I will receive the keys of the Kingdom. My life will not be the same. I will change my family's trajectory. I will change my destiny. Is it not just him? Please, let's not be desperate. What you did, Costco said. I stand wholly behind it. Don't worry. Trust God that he will make that.
He will make a way. So if this senator, this big man is somebody like they're saying something and in your spirit, this thing is not adding up, find a way to extricate yourself from that, from from that situation. Just trust that God will make a way. This guy is now in control of your destiny. It's only money that we're looking for. It's not worth our lives and it's not worth our Peace of Mind. For those of you men who are listening, trust me, your wives prefer that you come home safe.
My wife has told me that before. She has told me before. A funny thing is, even though it makes sense, I actually never thought about it that way. Like, what are you taking the risk for? Don't you know that if you go outside and this thing doesn't add up, don't you know that you're making things worse for me and the children? I had never looked at it that way before. Guys, it's not worth it, babes. It's not worth it anyway.
So that's all for today. Don't worry. Tomorrow I'm not going to talk about any depressing topics. Don't worry, we'll go back to how we can. We'll go back to much more positive topics about how to increase our increase our revenues and grow our sales. So thank you very much for your time and attention.
