Today I would like us to talk about SEO and that's because search engine optimization is still a concern for most Nigerian business people. Now just in case you're listening to the podcast for the first time and you haven't heard that term before, SEO. SEO is an acronym stands for Search Engine Optimization. And what that means is how do people find me online? That is just the gist of what SEO means. So if you've been hearing SEOSEO
and you've been confused, you've never been able to crack the meaning of the word or why it is important to you. That is the reason why because whenever people are talking about SEO, search engine optimization or is it AGO, is it AI something optimization, you know, whatever newfangled terms that people have these days, people are just trying to answer the question, how do people find me online now? Traditionally when people say SEO, the question has always been how do people find me online?
And back in the day, people used to be found primarily on Google. So that's the reason why people who talk about SEO were obsessed with Google. How do people find me on Google nowadays? Because of AI tools, people say the game has changed, but in my own, my own opinion, I don't think the game has changed per SE, because the same sort of practices that we had to do over here in Niger back when Google was the dominant player.
It's still pretty much the same sorts of things that we have to do today. And while the AI tools are taking market share away from Google, you know, there's no research now that shows that in Nigeria people are not using Google to search as much as they used to back in the back in the day. So if you're aware of any resources, any kind of research that shows how people's search habits are changing in Nigeria, whether people are searching more with Gemini or AI tools and not relying so much on Google,
if you're aware of any of that kind of any of those materials, then please let me know, share it with me so I can become better educated. Boscha, the summary, in this part of the world, we still worry about SEO because we're worried about how people find us online because there's the real world component or trying to drum up sales, which is what I prefer, which is that you go out and talk to people. You know, you make some phone calls, go to somebody's office,
get somebody to come to your studio, go and attend networking sessions, you know, things like that. But we can't downplay the fact that an SEO strategy is also important. Before we continue, if you would love to connect with me, you can call me, send me a text message or a WhatsApp message on 08064662140. Also, if you're interested in a 15 minute sale audit, send me a WhatsApp message on the same number that's 08064662140.
And if you'd like to join my WhatsApp channel, just send me a WhatsApp message on the same number and we will get you started. So the reason why we're looking at SEO today is because there's one of my guys that I've been talking about the last two weeks or so. For those of you who've been listening, you've heard me talk about IKSF dot Ng and that is ekanga software factory. And the whole idea behind the software factory is and the reason why I'm putting my weight behind them is they provide an easy way for people to just start, for people to launch their business.
Especially for those of you who have a tech component to your business, you know, you want to build a website, there's something that is web related just to make sure that you can launch quickly. So yeah, I've been promoting my boy on the podcast. Again, the website is IKSF dot Ng. So please go have a look anyway. So some of you will be wondering, Software Factory, how does that relate to SEO? No problem. This is the relation.
So of course, I've been talking to my guy and we've been going over some SEO strategies because apart from me talking about the software factory here on the podcast so that you guys can go and try it out and launch your product idea in just seven days or less. He's also concerned about an SEO strategy so that he can be found readily and easily online. And that is why an SEO strategy is now an important part of the conversation.
And remember, SEO or whatever term people are talking about nowadays just means how do people find me online? So my guy wants to be found online. Well, I'm not going to use his real name anyway. So for now, every time I say my guy for this episode, just know that I'm talking about the founder of IKSF dot Ng. So we've been talking about the SEO strategy and a couple of things have been coming up and I've noticed that he's been concerned about, you know, some some terms, understandably, you know, like software, software factory Ekenga.
And then whenever you type in any combination of the website, IKSF, understandably because you know, he wants that to come up in the search results whenever people type any of these sorts of sorts of terms. But The thing is, you know, that's a very Nigerian approach to doing SEO and it's understandable. But you know, people forget that when someone is looking for your product or your service, they're not really looking for your product or service per SE.
They are trying to solve the specific problem that they have. They're trying to fulfill a specific need that they have. So typically when people are looking for your product or service, if you are not yet a well established brand, people are not really searching for you per SE. So that's a conversation that I had to have with my guy. Now, look, it's good if people type software and you're up there or the type software factory and you're up there, or the truth of matter is people who are actually looking for a solution like IKSF dot Ng,
that's Ekenga software factory. People who are looking for these sorts of things, they actually are typing out or searching other things that perhaps the word software or the word software factory or the word Ikenga or the initials IKSF dot Ng. They're typing in a whole bunch of stuff that none of those things will show for sure. So because we had that conversation, me and my guy had that conversation, I figured, let me just come over here and share this thing on the podcast in case there are some of you who are making this kind of mistake as well.
You're coming up with a product, you're coming up with a service, you're trying to be all proprietary. And so for your SEO, you're trying to see ways that you took your company name, that you took certain kinds of keywords and you know, stuff like that that you hope people will be searching for, but you're not really paying attention to what actually boys and girls on the ground are searching for when they need this solution.
So I told him, look, your SEO strategy shouldn't focus around keywords like Ikanga, like iksf dot Ng or software or software factory, because I suspect I could be wrong. I suspect that if anybody finds iksf dot Ng, if they find it organically, they're going to do so by typing a number of keywords. And I told my guy that his SEO strategy has to be built around those things that customers or potential clients might likely search for.
For instance, people who discover IKSF dot Ng might be typing things like fastest way to build a startup because there are people who go online and type that sort of thing. And the reason why we want to show up in that search that's IKSF dot Ng is because it can go software factory have come up that's with AI tools and also having live engineers. We've come up with a process where we can have people launch their idea in seven days or less.
In fact, we have some case studies that I'm going to start sharing with you next week where people have done just that. You have an idea and then you go to IKSF dot Ng and then you type out your problem in real, normal, everyday English. And then the software factory IKSF dot Ng comes up with a road map to say that OK, to solve this kind of problem, you need to build a website. Excuse me, the website will have to be like this, like this, like that, and we can break up this this project into several stages.
And this is how much it's going to cost you so that you can even plan, you know, your budget and everything but sharp. The thing is, if you can go to IKSF dot Ng and you're ready to start today. The way that my guy has set this thing up and the promise that I want him to keep, which is the reason why I keep telling you guys that connect with me, call me, send me a text message or WhatsApp message on 08064662140. If you try IKSF dot Ng and my guys are not taking care of you,
I beg let me know so I can go and highlight them that look, this is not what we agreed. So if you try it out and you're not happy, let me know. Well, apart from that, there's also, they're also giving you 20% off if you come through the podcast. So to get the 20% off, what you do is you type in Ayede. That's my surname, AYEDE. That's the discount code. Or you can type in Tave. That is the first half of my of my first name and that is TAVER.
So remember, you go to IKSF dot Ng and you type in TAVER or you type in a YEDE and you're going to get 20% off of your first, your your first project, the first website, you know, the first online, whatever it is that you're trying to build. So fastest way to build a startup. I really think, excuse me, that that is what people are going to be searching for. And if they come across IKSF dot Ng, then they will be happy.
So you can see that it is only people who are technically minded, like my guy, because you know, he's a computer with, you know, all these, all these boys now, you know, front end, back end developer, you know, all these people who live and die by computers, you understand. So for them, yes, they know that there's something called software factory and there are other software factories. Because like I say, it doesn't have to be IKSF dot Ng, it doesn't have to be ekanga.
There are different other software factories. But sure, my own concern is get started. The only reason why I'm pulling my weight behind my guy is because you know, it's my client, you know my Nigerian, we see eye to eye and I think the guy is going places, so I'm standing firmly behind him. So yes, people who are technical minded will go around typing software factory and all those things. But ordinary boys like me and ordinary girls are not going to be typing software factory.
They'll be typing things like fastest way to build a startup. Another thing that people might type is cost of building an app in Nigeria. I know for sure that people type that one cost of building an app in Nigeria and that will be a good Ave. if you do your SEO right for if he does the SEO right for IKSF dot Ng to show up so that people can see that if you want to build something that is web related, so long as you can type out the idea in simple English, you can find the cost that you can afford, of course,
at a 20% discount if you type in tave or you type in IAD and you can plan accordingly. You know, plan according to your timeline, plan according to your budget. Bosha, if you go there to IKSF dot Ng and if everything is good to go every, every is good to go 7 days, bam, you'll be on your way. So I'm making today's recording on the is this the 20th? Yeah, this is the 20th of April. So you go there today anyhow. Anyhow, if you're good to go,
27th of April, guaranteed your project done day live, you already live and people can find you for whatever it is that you're trying to build. So cost of building an app in Nigeria, Another thing that ordinary boys and girls will be searching is cost of building a website in Nigeria. So it'd be good for IKSF dot Ng to come up with those things. Then also people typing fintech developers in Lagos. Now people typing fintech developers in Lagos obviously have an idea for a fintech, but maybe they're non-technical.
So they are thinking about how they can find someone who is tech savvy, somebody who knows all the websites, computer code, you know, front end, back end, UIUX and all those fancy stuff. So it will be nice for IKSF dot Ng to show up when people type fintech developers in Lagos. And that is part of the USB, the unique selling proposition for Ikenga Software Factory that you don't have to be technical to start. That is simple chap like me can just go on there and type in English everyday.
No one English that you know. I'm a Nigerian podcaster. I want to create a website, I want to create a landing page so that people sign up to my mailing list. Something, something, something. I just type it and then I hit send. And then the website will now tell me that OK, boss for this, your idea now. So we go run now we'll break it into 3 stages. Step 1 is this, this is how much you pay. Step 2 is this. Step 3 is this, this is how much you're going to pay.
Then me, if I have the bar, I'll drop it now and then seven days my site will be live so that people will begin to sign up to my mailing list online and I've just executed like that. So fin tab developers in Lagos something people can search. Then free website is also something I would hope that IKSF dot Ng will also start ranking for because it's part of the UVP, their unique value proposition that if you do business with them, you're going to get a free website for one year.
Free webs, sorry, free domain hosting, free web hosting. So people testing, how can I get a free website? How can I get a free domain? How can I get free web hosting? So it'd be nice for IKSF dot Ng to rank for that. And of course, I told my guy that for his SEO strategy, these are things that he's supposed to be talking about, Then don't worry. I know I'm using Ikangai a lot. But don't worry. I promise you that I have come up with a very, very, very hilarious or stupid scenario at the end just to spy things up.
So by the way, for those of you who have listed children listening to the podcast now, please send them out of the room or just use your headphones because the example that I gave, that I'm going to give is it's not appropriate for children. Let me just put it that way. So you know, I've given a warning and it's not entirely made-up, but for those of you who are listening for a while, you will know that one of my earliest almost clients was someone who worked in the male performance industry, if I
should just put it that way. Male performance healthcare products, If you can read it in between the lines, you understand what I'm saying. So this is not entirely a fake example. So this is modelled after some real conversations that I had. So Please remember any children listening to the podcast right now, send them out of the room. Or better yet, just plug in your headphones so that the kiddies cannot hear what Uncle Tave is going to say next.
Also so that they don't think Uncle Tave is a loose individual. So back to SEO terms that I think IKSF dot Ng should be trying to build their SEO strategy around then how to build an app or how to build an app site with, sorry, a website without knowing how to code. There are people who type in those things and there are people nowadays who are doing, I think they called it vibe coding. Yeah, I think they call it vibe coding now because my brother studied information systems technology back in Unilog a long time ago.
So back then my brother and his classmates, you know, they would have to build websites manually, go and type in all the code and everything. And so this conversation that my me and my brother had last year, like, oh, that kind maybe like November, October, November, I think definitely before Christmas. And he told me that these AI tools that are good for vibe coding. And I was like, I wish I'd be vibe coding again. I said vibe coding now, like you're creating a website,
you're coding something, but you don't know how to code. So you're just using AI tools to do that. And I was like, for real, you can do that. And I was like, yeah, that are good. That are quite good. And I said good. How he said, no, they're really, they're good. That he tried a couple of projects and maybe there was one or two imperfections. But you know, because my brother studied information systems technology, he was able to, you know, go and do that, you know,
that computer front end, back end, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and fix all the problems himself. But Shah, that's what they call it nowadays, vibe coding, you know, just they do vibes, so people they vibe code. So it's also one thing that people will be searching how to vibe code, how to build an app, how to build a website without knowing how to code. So if the Ekanga software factory IKSF dot Ng can be built around that, that would also be a good idea.
So then other variations, you know, how to build an app with AI, how to build software with AI, how to build a website with AI, how to build a startup without a tech founder. You know, these are parts of things that are the UVP, the unique value proposition that IKSF dot Ng has been built to solve. We want to be a fast way to start companies. You want to give people a very clear idea of how much it's going to cost for you to bring your web idea, your online business idea live.
We want to make the cost of building a website easy to determine. You don't have to talk to somebody for weeks and weeks and weeks on end. You can just go to a website, type out your prompt in simple English, and you know in a couple of seconds you have a road map that is easy to see, that is easy to understand, and you either agree with the cost or you don't agree with the cost, but either way you're getting some numbers.
Then free website hosting, free web develop, free web hosting. Basically you're building your business idea without knowing how to code or you're starting your startup without having a tech founder. So so I told my guy that look for your SEO strategy. These are the things you should be paying attention to. Don't focus so much on the company name and don't focus so much on the technical terms like software factory. Because honestly speaking,
honestly speaking, until I met this my guy, we started talking. I had no idea what software factory was. But as we know they relate and I've has gone online, I've seen that software factory then plenty. So those of you in the tech space, you will know that these things exist. But ordinary people like us, we don't know. So ordinary people like us are not even typing these terms. So that's what I told my guy, change your software, access software, change your, your SEO
strategy to revolve around these sorts of terms. But basically the whole idea is your software strategy should be built around the questions or around the keywords or around the actual expressions that your potential customers are searching for. Now, this is the example. Remember this example is a Randy example. So if there are any children listening, please send them out of the room right now. Or better yet, plug in your headphones so that the young boys and girls are not hear what they're not supposed to hear also.
So that they will not think of Kutavishima is a Randy fellow. So I told you guys that one of the people who was almost kind of like my client, but this was a long time ago. I think it's like, I mean, you reach, you don't reach like 4 years now, four years or five years. So at the time it would have been my first client who would have been my first consulting client. No, let's say, OK, let's say five years, sort of my first consulting client.
So that was back then and I was in Makodi with my wife and my kids. We we had come for Christmas and then we're just chilling. And so somebody bought my phone. You know, I spoke to the guy after that. So what's that? Messages? And I told Mumsy that Mumsy. I told my wife, I said, you won't, you won't believe what they say. What what happened? I said, it's like I'm going to get a client. And then they were happy for me.
But I said, but you know, that is the kind business. So so Mumsy begin they laugh, she laugh anyhow and then my wife too was also laughing. My wife was saying, see, I told you that you're a Randy fellow. You're already attracting Randy fellows online. I say I'm a Randy fellow. How now business content where they promote now like you know another reason why they were laughing was because the first person who tried to do business with me, the real first person who tried to do business with me, she described herself as a bottom power entrepreneur.
Let me just leave it like that. If you read it in between the lines, you will catch. So they, my wife and my mom say, I think they let me die. They say I should repent. I should give my life to Christ. I should renew my mind. You know, as in they were just talking and talking. They were just blasphemy. So anyway, that's besides, besides the point. But for those of you who've been hanging around with me since then, you'll see that I've gone on to start doing business with reputable fellows, reputable fellows.
I've spoken to people in the oil and gas space, spoken to people in the finance space, spoken to people in the solar space, spoken to people in the real estate space, spoken to people in the where again, you know, people where they sell online gadgets. Sorry, not online gadgets. What's it called? You know, computer gadgets, tech accessories, mobile accessories and all that kinds of things. So I've spoken to people in all all kinds of spaces.
OK, There was one guy who was about to start a hospital, but we didn't end up working together. So I've spoken to lots of people in different industries since then. So you should not be looking at me and saying that, you know, Uncle Tave is a Randy fellow. So no, I'm not a Randy fellow. I'm actually, I'm actually a child of God. So anyway, so straight to the example. Now let us say, and I'm not going to use the guy's real name.
I'm not going to use the guy's company. So let's say now you want to start a company in the bail performance enhancement space. You understand reading between the lines, if you're not old enough to understand what I've just said, then leave it like that. You're not meant to understand. In fact, if you're not, if you're less than 18, just off this podcast right now or skip to the next episode, you don't need to to to to hear the rest.
So let's say this guy now is starting a company and then he's going to call his company Coolio the bastard Slayer. I repeat, Coolio the bastard Slayer. Some of you be wondering what kind of name is that? See, my brother, my sister, it's a crazy world, you know, when it comes through that space male enhancement they always come up with all kinds of funny names, you know, Spanish fly tap out, you're like all kind names.
I'm like, who in the hell comes up with all these names anyway? So let's say you want to call your company now Coolio the bastard Slayer and you're selling male performance enhancement medications. Now if you're going to start that kind of business and you're doing the Nigerian thing, you will now start doing SEO around Coolio so that if somebody searches Coolio, they will find you or you will now be doing SEO around the bastard's layer so that the people type bastard's layer or they type Coolio or they type any of those combinations, your company name will come up.
But here's the question, if your company name is Coolio the Bastard Slayer, do you really think that boys who are looking for this kind of product, do you think they'll be going online to type Coolio the Bastard Slayer? They won't. You don't have that kind of brand cache yet. They'll be typing something else to solve other kinds of problems. And if you do your SEO strategy right, the hope is that you will show up when they run that search or you'll be hoping that they'll type in male performance enhancement medication.
Look, let's be real people, young boys who are looking for this kind medication late at night, like around that kind midnight, you really think they're going to be typing technical terms like male performance enhancement? Do you think some of them can even spell male performance enhancement? By the way, this is one of the reasons why I didn't want to work with the guy and I was trying to stylish Lee dodge it. But because, you know, from ethical example, I wasn't sure if I should be helping businesses like that, you know,
promote their wares, because I asked the guys straight up. I said, who's your target audience? Because you know that when we're doing sales, your ICP is important, your ideal customer profile, the people that you're targeting, the people that you're running after. So I asked him and then I said, man, what is blah, blah, blah? And the guy laughed. He said, he said Bros, I say my customer and no big guys like you. I said, what do you mean no big guys like me?
He said it's not married man. I say how come he's not married man? And he said, look, you married man, you don't have anything to prove. I said, what do you mean? He said people are complacent now, like when I don't marry, so you have nothing to prove. So the guy told me straight up. He said it that his target audience is young boys. When he called the age, I shout, I say that boys like that they're looking for this kind of thing.
He said I'll see you, You don't know what has happened to Niger. I said this age, Are you sure? He said of course now and then I knew the price of his drugs. I was like, are you serious? Boys can afford this kind of thing. He said. He said, Bros, Is it that Niger you are thinking of now before before that Niger of today, today forget that they will pay. I said are people actually paying? He told me that they are paying.
So that's why I started being afraid like, huh, well, you know, I'm not want to say you should be in in this kind of business or another kind of business. But then my mind started to shake smaller, Ha. Should I be using my expertise to promote this kind promote this kind thing, you know? So when eventually the guy no agree, I was like, OK, cool, because myself as we need to have second mind whether I should even be helping the guy out or not.
So when that one just disappeared and I was like, OK, cool, you know, it wasn't meant to be. So that's I just I just leave him. Well, by the way, that's the reason why, excuse me, this is an episode, sorry, this is a podcast about sales. You know, this is one of also one of the reasons why I have these episodes around ethics because honestly speaking, in running your business, there are times when you run into some customers and you have to ask yourself, like Omar, based on my ethical boundaries, is this a wrongs I should continue or not?
You suppose? Ask yourself, you know, because you know we are, you don't know money will be fine, but because we define money doesn't mean we should sell our souls. You understand what I'm saying? Nobody said they preach or anything. It's just that. And then let me leave this for some of you say I'm trying to preach to you. So anyway, where was I? So your company name now, Coolio, the bastard Slayer. If you're putting Coolio in SEO
or bastard Slayer in the SEO or male performance enhancement medication in the SEOI really think you're wasting your time. Because honestly speaking, all those young young boys in the midnights when in a search for, you know, all this miracle drug, they'll be typing things like how to be a man also do be typing. So if you're in this kind of business, don't be using your company name in the SEO. Try and rank high so that when people type in how to be a man,
you'll see your website. Another one that will be typing is how to satisfy a woman. So if I be how to satisfy my woman and put it that way, so women are big no vex. I'm just saying the kind of things that do be searching. So if anybody type in that kind thing how to satisfy my woman, they will now see your web link. Bam, Coolio the bastard Slayer. Don't say what is this and they will click and also type in those size really matter.
By the way, I hope children are not listening to this episode. I beg send all the Peking away. Anybody that is younger than 25 should not be listening to this. Or I say 18. But if you're 18 years old, switch this enough. 20. In fact, only 30 year old and above should be listening right now. So those size really matter. If you rank well for those size really matter. People see your website. Bam, Coolio the bastard Slayer.
Then how to tell when my girlfriend has been unfaithful. It's unfortunate, but yeah, young, young men type these kinds of things. So you type it, how to tell my girlfriend has been unfaithful Your website will just show Coolio the bastard Slayer. Bam, they will click and then they will buy. By the way, word of caution, word of note, CM, if you're a young man and you're having boyfriend, girlfriend issues and you're having to go to Google to type how to tell where my girl,
you know, does my girlfriend have another boyfriend, blah, blah, blah, all those kind things. See my brother, if it has reached that stage, just free it, allow it. Just allow. If it has reached that level, just allow. And they will talk about that in another podcast episode. Then another thing that they will that they will type, some of you will say Tavishma, how do you know these things? Look, I just know these things because you know, I was in university now and when I was in university, you know, now you always have idiots in your class now.
So all these are the things that idiots used to search. I used to search it too. Tavishima is a good boy. It's all those idiots that used to search these things. Then they'll also be typing how to do more than one round. So if they type how to do more than one round, then your, if you do your FCO, their website will just show Coolio bastard Slayer. Bam, they'll click and then they'll buy. Then they'll also type. Is sugar a bad thing for a man?
So if you do your job well and they say sugar a bad thing for a man or is JDJD bad for a man, then your website will come up Coolio the bastard Slayer, and they'll click and then they'll buy. So I used this absurd example because I was trying to illustrate something #1 because the absurd example is not so absurd. You know, it's a real life or something. Like I've told you guys, I'm just not using real names. But also, it was the most absurd example I could think of because it shows the absurdity that some of you are doing just like me.
For instance, my business name is Aberdeen Business Consulting. But in the beginning, nobody knows. Like as of now, nobody knows my business name yet. If I'm trying to rank high for Aberdeen Business Consulting, like I'm wasting my time because people who will pay me money to consult for their business in Nigeria, excuse me, I'm not typing Aberdeen Business Consulting. They are not typing my name. Tavishima George Aide.
Yes, my name is George. I was named after Saint George. They are not typing in business development Consultant. They are not typing in technical terms. They are not typing in my company name. They are not typing in my personal name. They are not typing in my brand name. People are going to type specific questions that they have in business. So I am not surprised that most of you who find the podcast, when I ask you, oh, how did you find me, they say I went to Google or like, sorry about people say Google.
Sorry. I like making fun of Yoruba people. You know, my, my sister-in-law is Yoruba. So you know, I can bless Yoruba people, our family. So some people say I went into Google. And by the way, Yoruba people, it's not Google, it's Google. So they say I went into Google and then I typed how to grow, how to improve my marketing. And then I saw a link to your podcast or they typed in how to grow my sales. And then they saw my podcast.
Or they typed in business podcast in Nigeria. Then they saw my podcast or they typed in marketing resources for Nigerian business people and then they saw my business. Like you see, when I'm heading, nobody is typing in my business name, Nobody is typing in my personal name. Nobody is typing in my brand name. Nobody is typing in nicknames or code names or whatever things that I'm trying to come up to be cute with. Now, eventually when I don't blow, people will be typing my name.
You get me? It's like now Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, them, them, all of them, then don't blow. So people will be typing in Tony Robbins. But in the beginning when Tony Robbins was at my own level, when he don't start Tony Robbins, you know, when he was fresh, nobody, OK, there was no Google then, but assuming it was Google, that's when Tony Robbins was starting. Nobody was going to go and type Tony Robbins because they're no,
no Tony Robbins. So when it comes to an SEO strategy for your business, please do not be spending money with an SEO agency to try and boost your business name so that you will show up in the searches. Nobody knows you yet. Do not try and boost your personal name. Nobody knows you yet. Nobody is searching for that. People who need your product, people who need your service are searching for specific terms, specific problems, specific question.
Try and figure out what those problems are. Try and figure out what those issues are. Then you will now pay your SEO marketing strategy person. You will now see how you can rank for those things so that the next time somebody types in, you know, whatever it is like for instance, OK, let me go back to wedding photography and videos since that was my last, my last, how I put it domain. Some of you want to start business, OK, maybe fashion design and you call yourself,
let me say you call yourself a ready me fashion designer. And because of that, you're trying to sorry about the noise in the background. You know, my, my kids are home and they're making lots of noise. You know, it's holidays. So sorry about that. Don't worry, they'll be back in school. So, so you want to be a fashion designer and then you're typing in Redmi fashion design, Redmi fashion design house Abuja or Redmi fashion design house Lagos.
And so because of that, you want to rank high when people type in Redmi or you want rank high when people type in fashion or something. You should be building it around the problems around the searches that people are looking for. So if people are searching for best fashion designer in Lagos, OK, try and rank for that. Everything people are typing in for typing in the most trustworthy fashion designer in Lagos because I, I hear, I don't know for a fact, because you know, I, I don't, I'm not a stylish guy, so I don't wear,
you know, stuff. But what I hear from my wife and her friends, they say that tailors are fashion designers are very, very, very unreliable. That if they promise you 2 weeks, the job will take 3 or 4, you know, that kind of thing. So whatever it is you think people are searching for best fashion designer in Lagos, fashion designer near me, most reliable tailor, blah, blah, blah, those are things that you should be trying to rank for when it comes to SEO.
So that's the whole point of today's episode. So it's not your name, it's not your brand name, it's not the technical terms and all of that, but it's specific questions that you think people are asking. And by the way, that is also the reason why I keep saying that if you want to do a content marketing strategy, your content should be built around these main questions so that people find you easily. So for those of you who went to Google, for those of you who went to Bing, for those of you who went to people still use Yahoo and I don't know anyway,
for those of you who went wherever it is, you went Apple iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, and you found me, this is precisely the strategy. I was not focused on my name. I was not focused on my business name, even though I called my business name. Now 99% of you listening, you know, you don't care, you don't remember and you don't care. I focused on the sorts of things that people want to learn about. People want to learn about how to sell well in Niger.
People want to learn practical tips and tricks to improve their marketing. People have all kinds of, you know, questions like, is SEO still relevant in Niger now that we have AI? You know, so I just keep making podcast episodes and I keep putting out content that deal with these sorts of issues. And that's how you're finding me. That's the magic. So I've not invested millions of naira in coming up with an SEO strategy.
I haven't, I haven't paid Shishi. I haven't paid Guy. I haven't paid Cobo. I haven't paid anything for SEO. I'm just focused on the words, on the questions that I think my customers, my potential customers are looking for. And that is how you found me and that is how it should be for your businesses. People are just not searching for that yet. Excuse me? People are searching for other things. So the battle for SEO is to just try and figure out now, yeah, my customers, what are they likely going to be searching? What questions are they likely going to have?
Then your SEO strategy should be built around that. Your content marketing strategy should be built around that so that when people type in those questions, when they type in those keywords, bam, your websites, your link, your podcast, your Instagram, your Twitter, your whatever is the thing that will show up. So that's it. Thank you very much for listening. I'll catch you all some other time.
