Today's podcast episode. Is going to. Be a rambling 1. Because we're going to be looking at some listener messages that I. Received during the week. And in these messages, we're going to look at things like separating business finance from personal finance. The impact of the new. Tax laws that just came into effect because making today's recording in January of 2026 and of course we Nigerians know that the new tax code proposed by the president came into effect this year.
Then we're also going to look at what I like to. Call the multi potentialite. Trap multi potentialites. Those are those people. Who have too many talents? They think they're too talented. They think they're they have too many interests and so because of that, they can't start one business in particular. So they have too many ideas and it often leads to them being unfocused. So we're going to talk about some of that today, then a little bit about market perception and trust, and then how we can be strategic.
With our outreach. And then content planning. So as you can see this. Is a lot. And the reason why is because, you know, when people reach out, you know, we have a chat. We usually talk about all kinds of things because I. Actually, I'm genuinely trying to. Like I said, we're going. To be looking at lots of listener messages and the first one is from Nicholas. OK, I didn't get his surname and Nicholas. Says hello boss. I'm Nicholas and. I've been a fan for a very long. Time. Oh, thank you very. Much, Nicholas. And thank you very much to those of you who've been listening for a very long time. I keep on saying it that it is your support that makes the show possible. And Nicholas says I shouldn't stop the work.
Don't worry, I'm. Not going to stop this podcast. I'm going to keep it coming so long as you guys have questions. Believe me. I will keep on recording. Except when I get except. When I win my election for the presidency. Then I don't think. I'll be. Able to run the podcast every single day. But until then, I am going to keep on making this podcast. So he had some questions about. Business accounts. Personal accounts and then how?
It relates. To the new tax law. Then he said if I have a podcast. Episode that talks about that. Then he'll like to listen to it now. Unfortunately, I didn't have anything new to tell him. Because I. Already have the podcast episodes on personal finance where I talk about how you should separate your personal accounts and your business accounts. And to be honest, since this new tax law is something that only recently was only recently promulgated, was only recently passed, there are lots of people on social media, you know,
talking as if you know their. Tax specialists or their. Specialists on this new particular tax law. But I'm still watching and I'm still waiting. But either way. My area of specialty is. Sales and business development. My area of specialty. Is not personal finance. It's not business finance. And it's definitely. Not tax law. And to be honest, the last time I studied that tax law was because my first degree was in law.
I'm a former lawyer turned business consultant. The last time I studied tax law, I won't lie, that was. Like, I don't know, maybe? Like year 2. Or like year 3? And that was at least. 20 years ago. And of course, you know that was on out. On the different. Tax regime. So I really can't give an informed opinion about this, but the only thing that I would like to say, Nicholas, is if you're going to be talking to people about this, I would suggest.
That you talk to people. Who are already taxed specialists or tax accountants? I believe those are the people. Who have? The intellectual wherewithal, the knowledge. Base. To be able to say, oh, this new tax law that is coming up, I think this is how it's going to affect your personal finances. This is how it's going to affect your business finances. This is how it's going to affect your tax obligations. But there's one thing that I've noticed lots of people, whether on the left or on the right,
everybody is saying that supposedly it's much more friendly for small and medium scale business people because the tax threshold has been raised. For how much money you need to. Hit before you start paying. Taxes so. Yeah. So if you're like Nicholas and you're curious. Yeah, go do your research. Talk to people who are. Tax specialists or maybe people who are accountants. And of course, like I keep on saying over here on the podcast.
Do not give anybody money. Until you have had a conversation with the person and until you trust the person so you don't have to just. Drop money because somebody. Said give me money. You have a. Conversation with the person. These are my concerns, you know, blah blah blah. These are my worries. These are that you know. Can we have a chat? And then in the chat try and. Like, ask them questions, try to get to know them, try to figure out how knowledgeable they are when it comes to tax and personal finance and these sorts of things.
Only drop money for people whom you trust. So the last set of. Trainings. That we that started off on the January generated 19th still still going on. I had to tell several of them, one lady in particular, because she said it. She said, guy, you know, I didn't hear you and I laughed. I said. Fear me how now? She said. This is Niger now. But I don't know you. Before. Today, there's just last month. I'm knowing you, that you sound like you know what's up and you sound credible.
You sound like you can. Do. What you say you sound like your. Training can do. What what it says? Is going to do but I know like. I did fear. I laughed and I told her, yeah, you know. You don't. Trust anybody you're scared, don't drop money. And I told her it's fine. I sent her a link to my podcast episode. I said keep on. Listening. If things ever change. Reach. Out to me. I'm still here, you already. Have my number We already started relating.
We've had like. Two or three phone. Calls so no Ala so the same. Anybody who's talking to me, that's what I tell them. Anybody you're talking to is. The same thing you don't trust people do. Not drop. Money. Now the second message. OK, well, this guy. We've been chatting back and forth. I'm definitely not going to say his name. I don't need to be. As if I'm, you know, opening his in the public. So he says he left NGO space in 2020 and since then he's been trying to secure funding for his own business.
Ideas, but he says. It's not easy and he's still pushing it then. You know, chatting back and forth and then. This list now. Or we call him. Now let's call him. Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Cage because. Oh. Look at me, I was thinking. Mortal. Kombat, because we just got the PlayStation and my kids really like Mortal Kombat and man, that game is. Bloody that game is brutal. As in. Like you stab. Somebody in the neck you. Remove the spinal cord.
You like man? Oh, go. Like that game is harsh. But anyway. My wife played it when she was a kid. And my late brother-in-law and. Then one of my former. Business Partners was here a couple. Of days ago and. Even he used to play. The game back in the 80s and he says that, well, that's how it has always. Been so anyway, I'm watching. So I was thinking about. Someone else when I said. Nicolas Cage It just occurred to me that.
Nicolas Cage actually is a Hollywood actor. I think if I remember correctly. So this guy now #2 let's call him Nicolas. Cage. So Nicolas Cage now left the NGO space in November 2020 and he's been trying to secure finance for his own businesses. But then one for my. Colleague told him. He told him, Guy, you have too many ideas. This thing we cripple your growth, He will cripple you. And then Nicolas Cage also said that he.
Priests. So he's Catholic, a priest? Told him. And this is what the priest told me. Priest told you that? Look young man, you are behaving like a billionaire child. Your dreams have no. Realistic foundation, that's what the priest said. By the way. You know, I told Nicolas Cage, I told him Pele that Geshenov vex that actually when people. Talk to us like this. You know it's because. Usually it's out of love. There's some people that beef you and beef.
You die, but sometimes when it's people. Who are like, you know. Your people like mom. See your best friend, you know your wife when they talk to you. Harsh like this? Actually, because they're trying to protect you and they don't. Want to see you fail? But anyway, more about that because some of you are. Going to be wondering like. Super. Harsh. Which can cripple your growth. Dream no realistic foundation. So let's go.
Let me give you some background to the chat that Nicholas Cage and I were having. So excuse me. Oh. Nicolas Cage now. The guys had a very. Colorful background because even me self I was. Thinking I was on focus. Because you know for. Those of you who've been listening, you know that initially I wanted to study. PPPPP. PEI wanted to study politics, philosophy and economics, but then I changed my mind last minute and then I studied law.
Then after law, I did. Legal practice for like 3 years then after that. I went straight for masters, then from masters civil service, now from civil service. Wedding photography from photography. Me and my brother doing export business, then from export business what else? Are we? OK for export business. OK, I never stopped wedding photography, but then from. Export business failing continuing photography into producing documentaries for NGO.
And then Shah. I left the whole game. And I've been doing business consulting ever since. So even me, I was thinking. Your life is on focus. You don't get direction anyhow as in today anyhow, just moving up and down anyhow. But as I. Said in this podcast, man. I have met some people as I have met some. People that have been all over the place. So this guy now Nicolas? Cage. Douglas Cage has done media work. You know, photography, video.
All of that. He has done multimedia production. He has been a radio. Show host he has organized. Book. Festivals he has developed. Audio books for Nigerian authors he has also developed. Ebooks for Nigerian authors He has done content production. For corporations, he has also done content production. For NGOs, he has also done documentaries as well. He has also done public. Advocacy. Short Films and I think his NGO currently is in good governance.
And gender equity. Now Nicolas Cage, that guy like me that. Guy has been. All over the place so. When I was trying to tell him that look. I understand that. These people are being. Harsh like they're. Talking anyhow, anyhow like. Man that's a nasty way to give feedback honestly. You say that your your your business ideas. No gap basis. That's harsh, so please. For those of us who have. Friends and family members, you think that?
They're all focused you're. Trying to tell them the. Truth. I beg. Language. You don't need to be. Too. Don't be telling somebody. That your idea no get. Busy. No, it's harsh. It's harsh. So. This is how I explained. To Nicolas Cage, How do I look? The problem of being. A multi potentialized renaissance man, multi talented individual, hyper creative individual, serial entrepreneur, serial dis multi, you know, whatever it is people call yourselves.
The problem is this. From a practical point of view, remember that the focus of this podcast is sales. How do we grow sales? How do we increase revenue? Now, one way that we're going to grow our sales and we're going to increase our revenue. Is that we do outreach. Every single day, every single week. Outreach just means. We come up with a plan for figuring out. Who is our potential customer? Who might be interested? In our product or service.
And then we figure out a way to go and reach that concrete individual, that particular person. We come up with a. Plan How will I? Go to this guy's house. How will I? Go to this guy's office. Or how will I create? Contents that will attract this person. Or how will I? You know, phone call how will I call this person or how will I do networking? Who? Introduced me to this guy so that we can start yawning. You know, as in outreach, Shah,
as in these are the people who I'm trying to hunt down. How will I reach? Them so from a. Very practical point of view we are. Trying to do outreach. Every single day. Every single. Week so that we can grow revenue and this. Is what I have to explain to Nicolas Cage, and that's the reason why I'm making this podcast episode. Because I know that Nicolas Cage will listen. So, Nicolas. Cage, if you're wondering. You see me?
Yeah, it's you. I'm just not using your real name because I don't want. I don't seem as if I'm exposing your. In the public. So and also because you know when you're texting, there are some things. You can't really emphasize, so let me emphasize it now that you're listening. To me, on audio it is not possible to do outreach. For all these your ideas. It's not possible. Even if you try. You'll be all focused and you'll get the best results.
Think about it. You wake up on a Monday. Which outreach am I going to do today? Is it multimedia? I mean, am I going? To try and get a radio show again. I'll be easy on that book festival. Something. Was it producing audio? Book, Ebook. Or is it the NGO? Work. Producing Ng OS for them. Or is it my own NGO I'm going to? Focus on now on good. Governance and gender equity. So when you wake up on the Monday morning, which one are you going to do now?
How you split the work? Or Monday will be the. Focus. Tuesday will be the focus. Wednesday will be the focus. Thursday will be the focus. Friday, Saturday will be the focus. Even if you're able to parcel out this thing so that one one day per week, you'll focus on one. Think about it. You mean to tell me that if you're pushing one business only four days in a month, you think you can get? Progress. Let's go to. This in your NGO now on good governance.
And gender equity. You want to promote good governance? Oh well, and good is. Fine. Your gender equity. Is fine, it's beautiful, but. If you're only going to. Promote, Let's say you A. Decider on Monday. That's when you'll. Be doing your NGO. Work So that means every Monday of the month, every. Month on average you have. Four Mondays. How will you make progress trying to put pursue one agenda? If you only dedicate 4 days.
In a month to it. What is 4 * 12? Four times 12 is what? And so that's. 48 I mean. So that means in a year. You dedicate 48 days. To it out of 365 like how will you make progress on nothing? How so? From a sales perspective, this is where all these things fail. So the priests. Who say you're you're. Idea no Gear basis. The guy was harsh excuse. Me. Your friend. Who say your your business ideas? What did he say again? Something about.
Cripple that all these multiple. Ideas will cripple your. Business growth, they're they're harsh. What they said, what they said is true. Because me now. From a sales perspective. Let's say I'm your coach and I won't coach you so that we can start making good money. From any of these ideas how we go runner? How, How we? How we? Run this thing how? I know some of you don't like it when I say pick one, but honestly? Pick one.
Now the different ways of deciding which one and that is part of what. We're going to do. In manure training that I spoke about at the top of the. Episode which is. On how to build your business in three easy steps so that for those of you who have. 345 different. Business ideas, but you're not. Making a cobble on any of them. It's part of the training. Let us stop overthinking, Let us start building. Let us pick a winner from this idea, and let us make sure.
That this idea that you've picked is. The one that has demand. That people are willing. To pay for. And willing to pay for the good price. Then let's see how we can build a. Selling system around this thing. So that we can get revenue, so that we'll stop. Staying stock so that we'll move. Once you guys had 2024, your stock, 2025 your stock, 2026, you're starting again. And you feel kind of stuck. Are you not tired? That's make progress so.
The priest was harsh. Your friend was harsh. But it's the truth, because when it comes. Down to sales now getting. Revenue. Or more. We can't plan for. We can't come up with a plan. That will cover all these things we can't. Now let's leave outreach. Now let's talk about contents. Let's say, OK. You don't want to be. Going out, you don't want to be making a phone call. What you do, you just produce content. You try and use content marketing and then you get people to come to you.
You try and use inbound strategies for growing your business. There are two strategies or two different philosophies for growing your business. 1 is outbound, 1 is inbound. Outbound strategies those. Are the ones I prefer where? You take responsibility for going to go and do something. So I have my radio show and then I call people. I do some networking, you know, run advertisements Once in a while. You can see that I'm.
Pushing. Out, out, out, out, out. You know namide. Porsche that is unbound? Well, then there's inbound. Which is you do. Content marketing. You know, things that will invite people. OK, like this podcast, now podcasting that's inbound. People hear. It they like it, they. Call you, they say. Oh. Boy, are you available. How much? What does it take for us to work together? How much for us to collab, to do collabo? So that's inbound.
So that's two different business approaches. Now, some of you waste time by asking which one is the best. There's no best. Both of them are good. And actually, every single business should be. Doing both, you should be doing. Outbound you should be doing impound inbound you should be. Going out every day, every. Week to pursue people you also should be doing. Things. So that people would pursue you too, That is how. We get the business going.
Especially those of. Us who are small and medium scale, this is how we start outbound and inbound. Now, after a while, you realize that you have some. Particular skills. Maybe it makes outbound? Very easy for you. In that case, double. Down on the outbound. Or you find out that oh, because of your skill set. Inbound is a lot more. Easier for you and no. Problem. No problem. But sure. We should be doing both. We should aim.
To do both outbound and inbound. But let's just pretend now that we're not doing. Outreach. We're not going outside. We want to stay at home, want to produce content, we want to stay in the studio. No problem with all these. Business ideas now how will you plan your. Weekly content calendar How? If you, you know. Parcel it so that you're able to get. One day, you know. Pair something and then let's say. You're trying to promote.
A book festival. If you're only posting once. A week to promote your book festival. How do you think you will? Get that book festival. Up and going. So if every. Tuesday is book festival. Day then there are four Tuesdays in a month. That means you only make 4 posts in a month. For book festival, how will. You get that book festival to move 48. Tuesdays in a year, Abby. If my mouth is correct, I'll be and if my mouth is wrong, I
never said I was a math specially so you guys don't don't crucify me. You really can't make. Progress your content. Calendar you will not be. Pushing out enough content to make progress on any of these. Ideas. Then you will confuse people in your. Social media because they won't know what you stand for. They won't know how to. Categorize you like for instance. For me now because. All I talk about is sales, sometimes marketing.
Even though people don't know what I do. Once in a while I get one random calls. Tavishima, nothing you do like, I'm not sure but. Should be you do sales. Or you do something. Business. You can see that in people's mind. They know how to locate me, they know how they have mapped me on their brain in one way that you hear anything business even though you're not sure what Tavishima does. You pick up the phone and you call him.
And then I get to clarify and say oh. OK, yeah, I do. But what you spoke about? Actually is more of an accounting problem or. A cash flow, cash flow problem is not the kind of thing that I can. Solve you actually need. An accountant you need a. Bookkeeper, you need a blah blah blah. But at least in their mind, they have filed me in one cabinet. That says business. Because I'm only picking one lane, I'm not straddling two sides.
You won't see me on the left, you'll see me on the. Right. You see me in my lane when you take this approach, people on social media. They don't want to stand. They don't know what you stand for. They don't. Know where to categorize you so when the time comes. And somebody even genuinely. Like they love you, don't want to send you. Business, they're wondering. You could ask. Kids waiting they do self. Honestly, they don't know now.
This creates a in fact. Algorithm. I forgot that angle. The algorithm itself will be confused because remember. Now that we're in interest. Media, as people call it. Which means. You produce a bit of content and then the algorithm takes it and then shares it to people who are interested in those. Topics. If on your social media handle you're creating content around 567 different things, the algorithm will not even know this content that this guy produces.
Who should we show it to? So your followers on social? Media, they'll be confused the. Algorithm will be confused. So even if you. Choose a content marketing strategy this multi potentialite multi. Talented Renaissance man, serial entrepreneur. This approach is not going to work even if we look at that, then Nicolas Cage I. Told him I look even your. Friends and family members will be confused. They won't know what to.
Refer you for. And you go back to me saying that yeah, your sister referred you and yeah, you give. Her a Commission. I don't want to. Argue it, but. You know, you know, Yeah, she's your sister. And. You know, there's, there's home. Advantage. So she. Kind of has a sense of you know what you're. Good at what you're not good at, You know that only form. But somebody like me that is a total stranger now for all these. Ideas that we've discussed.
Even if I say Nicolas. Cage. You're my guy. May I? Help you like honestly speaking. What? What am I going to? Refer you for, it's all over the place. So I'm glad your sister brought some business to you. Good mom say I'm popsy to also. Bring business your way. Good. Because they've seen you before. They've been in the house. They know what you're capable. Of so they know that for these your business ideas, they know the one.
That is solid. And they know the one that. He's just he's. Just trying something. He's just, he's just trying his luck for other people. They don't know what to refer you for now, Nicolas Cage. And anybody who's like Nicolas? Cage. You want to make money off your. Business ideas. Listen carefully. In Nigeria. This is a universal thing. OK, but OK, maybe because? Since I spent and, I've only. Lived in UK and Niger. So I can't speak of the rest of the world, but it's a big.
Thing in Nigeria Nigerians have. Confidence issues when somebody is a. Generalist if Nigerian is looking. For a Carpenter in Nigeria prefers to call somebody who is a Carpenter. Not to call. Somebody who is a plumber, but the plumber happens to know electrical work and also happens to know. Carpentry work. The average? Nigerian does not like that kind of thing. So in Nigeria, you're not helping. Yourself as a. Multi potentialite multi hyphenated serial entrepreneur multi this renaissance man like you are not helping yourself because most people.
Will not trust. You Nigerians don't like master of all trades. Think about it. Media is making this broadcast. Let's say you listen. Today I'm talking about. Sales tomorrow. Then I talk about content. Production next tomorrow. I talk about happy marriage. Then the day after that I talk about video production. Then the day after that I talk about. Audio production. Then the day after that, I talk. I mean when the time comes to drop.
Money. Will you trust me? Will you trust me? You won't, so you. Multi Talented multi Hyphenate multi. Whatever. Whatever it makes us feel. Gold. Those words we get plenty talent, we feel. Very good. Very, very, very, very, very good. But we're feeling good about ourselves or other. People are not feeling good. About us, honestly, they're just like a master of all trades. So the only advantage? Of being a multi hyphenate.
Or multi talented. Whatever is that you? Wake up and you feel confident. Like yes. Not me, I'm the guy. But the market? Is not going to look at you that way and. Because the market is not going to. Look at you that way. Your bank account will feel. Good, so you wake. Up every day feeling. Good, but your bank. Account is not feeling good. At all now. Some words about dealing with. Discouragement or negative feedback from.
People in your life? Or authority figures. You know, like former colleagues. Or religious leaders. Or you know. Parents, you people. Try and tell you that. Your dreams are realistic like I mentioned that these people no more and only trying to protect. You if they know you. Personally, so the reason why the priest spoke to. You like that is because. The guy is kind of frustrated. He obviously. Says that you're a talented individual.
You're sharp, you're bright. But he thinks you know. You don't get a focus. So he you're the priest. Is being rude and abrasive because he's trying to? Shock you? Into motion, you also said. The kind of thing that, you know, bam, we will. Focus you in one place. Although I miss the guy you know. Suppose you know as a shepherd. As a spiritual shepherd, you know. Suppose there's a way. You should be. You counsel. People.
And. I think that was too harsh. Well, anyway, Nicholas Cage. Remember, not the real Nicolas Cage, the guy I'm talking to. He sounds like a very, you know, confident, robust somebody. I don't think he's the kind of guy that you. Can deem he shine like even if mom she slaps him back. You know he will smile and continue. He sounds like that kind of guy and they keep it up. That's the right attitude. But number one, just know that these people are only trying to.
Protect you SO. Just keep it in context then number 2 whenever people. Talk like this. Usually they talk very general. So for the piece. To come and say you know you don't get. Focused OK, I get the criticism, but OK so. Father like what am I? Supposed to do? Really. Like he has spoken his mind, he has said something, but specifically he has not told me what next. So for your friend too. Who are saying that? Your many business ideas will.
Cripple. You OK? Yeah. That's that's good. It's honest criticism. Well, your friend has not. Exactly said they have. Not really. Told giving you direction on what to do. They have told you the one that. Is bad. They did not tell you the one that. Is good. So Nicolas Cage. And anybody who's like Nicolas? Cage And you're talking to people in this situation, you know? Just tell people. Yeah, thanks for the advice. Yeah, recognize it must have been hard for you to.
You know, talk like that. Because I know that you're coming out of a place of love and I know that you're concerned for me. So yeah, thanks. Thanks for the advice, but hope you don't mind me asking. So like OK so far. Based on what you've. Said so far. Based on how you see the situation. What is the next? Thing you think I should do? So I can make. Progress with ABC so. Ask Father that kind of question. And the next time your auntie or.
Your uncle or your friend? You know, just open their mouth and talk, you know? Anyhow, ask them like that. Oh. Thanks for the advice I really. Appreciate it SO. What do you think is the next thing? I think I should do to make progressive. Blah blah blah blah blah. By the time every time they open your mouth, this is how you treat them afterward or close their mouth. When they see that. You know all they. Can do is make negative noise but they can't.
Point you in a positive direction. After a while do stop. Talking Nicholas Cage. I'm not giving you these tricks so that you shut them up. I'm giving you this. Trick so that. For people who have actually. Have been thinking of this thing critically and it's on their. Mind people who mean you. Well, they will. Actually have one or two. Things to point. You in the right direction. Because if Father should come and. Say you know their focus, your friend.
Say you're crippling yourself by the end of the. Day they didn't tell you. What to do? They have not. They mean. Well, but they have not tried to. They've not tried to show you the way to the. Promised Land. Some people come and they. Criticize, but then they say I think you should do this. Or have you done this? Have you talked about that? Oh, that's different after they leave. You can sit. Down and you can see. Two or three paths in your.
Head that you have to pick one of. So Nicolas Cage. That's all you do. You tell them thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking. What do you think? I should do that will help me make. Progress with XYZ or with ABC? Then Nicolas Cage be proactive. Start seeking advice from. People that you admire. So yeah, talking to me, yeah, that was, that was good. But instead of just talking. To me, because, you know, all of this was kind of general.
You should seek out advice from. People who have. Achieved in the space that you love so right. Now, if this NGO thing is on your mind. Public advocacy is on your mind, honestly. Speaking. You shouldn't be talking. To me, I'm not a public. Advocate on anything. Look for somebody who has. Made it in the public. Advocacy space in any field. OK, maybe not any field in the field of. Gender equity, which you love. Go and talk to that.
Person they will be able to. Give you concrete advice. It won't be general, general, general. They'll be able to tell you do ABC, do it by so so so date. Go and visit 123. Do this, do this, do that. Seek advice from those people. People, we don't make calm. In that space. That you want to enter. Those are people that you talk to. Then. Because you're in particular, Nicolas Cage. Like you're a very robust. Guy and. You're very cheerful so.
I don't think even if anybody. Was mean. I don't. Think you will catch it? But honestly speaking. This whole thing of bringing people down to earth, cutting people back to earth, bringing people. Back to size. Or you know. Bringing them back. To Earth, whatever expression is. Actually is a reality you. There are people like that. So you should not. Be sharing your ideas with everybody. It's not everybody because. There are some people.
Who? That is what they like to do. If they see you going. Up. Yeah, they'll. Pack you from the leg because not. To bring you down. Unfortunately, these people exist, so it's not. Everybody that is worthy to hear your ideas, Nicholas Cage. It's not everybody, no. So trusted people. That you have a relationship with. Or people. Who have cache, people who have level, people who have presence, people who have. Progress, people.
We don't. Make up in your chosen. Field. Those are the 2. Classes of people, trusted people, you have personal relationship. Talk to them. Or then or people that have hammered in your. Field talk to them. You talk to those two people, chances of going wrong diminished. But then one one last thing, Nicholas. Keja understand one thing. See, it's not easy. The first time my brother told me this thing when I was small. I need to tear him slap, but something he spoke inside my my heart.
Something but someone said tavish. Schumer, relax. Yes, this boy is. Younger than you. But listen, there's wisdom there. My brother told me one time. I remember we're discussing. He told me there's no smoke without. Fire, I said. What's wrong with this boy? So from watching film, you're learning a book. Prover I was about. To give him back. And then I realized that OK. Yeah. There's an element of. Truth there. And I got what he was saying.
All he was saying is. If Mumsy is saying this thing, I am saying this thing, Uncle is saying this thing, Daddy is saying this thing, this person is saying this thing. You honestly think everybody has problem? Then it's only you. Tarvish man, that doesn't have problem. That's what my brother was saying. Now I was pissed I was going to descend. On him but I got. The message and I'm using it to guide me since because myself I
always feel as if you know, I know. I'm always on the right track. So if my wife says something. Like my friends, say something. My neighbors are saying something. My was that like OK? He's now becoming much. And now that my. Kids are older. I've noticed that my wife will say something and my son. Will say yeah, it's true. Nothing gives me cause. For concern because this one. Is not a matter of oh. And it's my wife now.
She didn't nag. Yeah, it does not pass that. Level there's. Another person in the house now who's saying? Yeah, that that's actually true. Now it gives me now. Give me pause for concern. I say pause for concern, cause for concern. Sorry, forgive me. So, Nicolas Cage, just realize. That there's no smoke without. Fire. So. If 12345. Six people are saying something. Maybe it's time. To calm down. Small and do some. So by reflection and we.
Strategize for the way forward, so. It's possible if the same concerns keep coming up over and over again, perhaps there's some fundamental issues that need to be dealt with. So that's just a summary of my approach anyway when it comes to this whole thing of. People are giving. You discouragement giving you negative. Feedback around your business ideas. These are some ways of looking looking at it, but remember my own specialty is sales.
Not. Psychology, psychiatry, psychoanalysis, you know, psycho, whatever. So everything. Is weighing on your mind too much that you know your ideal self, your true dream, your this is this. That that, that that well, looks like the. Whole world is bringing. You down. You know, go and talk to a mental health professional. That's why I keep saying that. If you go to any General Hospital in Nigeria, there they have. Specialists on staff.
That deal with these. Sorts of things. For those of you who listen to the podcast. You for you listening for a long time you already know that time they're. Going to Rd. safety trouble. And they empower my car. They said I should go. And see psychiatrist and they. Referred me to General Hospital, so that's when by. The way I'm not mad. Oh, I'm not mad. It's just that. You know how this thing can be now? I said. I was not going to give them a single couple.
So they said they will. Frustrate my life when I. Learned my lesson that day. Because an only day impound. My car and I had. To go to the hospital, I saw the psychiatrist or the whoever it is sent me to. The guy said I'm there's no problem, I'm not mad. But by the time we. Finished the day was gone, so that means I couldn't. Even collect my car. So I took now go and collect my car. Back the second day. On top of that I paid official fee.
And I was the reason. Why? First of all, you did try. To catch somebody and the person sees Rd., the person will just take off and I'll see why people take off and then I now see the reason why. Most people just. You know the doors close their eyes and pull hand inside pocket. I'm not saying that you should bribe anybody, I'm just saying that. After going through that ordeal. I now know. The reason why some Nigerians.
Behave the way they behave. I'm not condoning it, but. I'm glad I went through. It because now I know. I didn't know then, but now I know that if you attend. The General Hospital, you know, you're depressed, you're having mental health. Issues your. Relationship with your wife is. Testy. Or maybe your relationship with your parents is off your. Relationship with your kids is off. Or you don't know if you're going insane or whatever.
All you have to just. Walk into a general. Hospital consultation is not expensive and consultation is usually open for I think 2:00. Weeks or three weeks? So at the time what I paid was. 4K to register, so 4K was. Registration and consultation and was open for three weeks. They are their own staff if you want to. Talk to them Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and then come next week. Monday, Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
And they will. Listen to you until they tell you that OK young man, you don't have. Problems. It's OK, you can stop. But they're there. So it's been 45 minutes, so let me bring you to a close.
